Hawaii motorists this week paid an average of 50 cents per gallon more for regular unleaded gasoline than they did a year ago, according to AAA Hawaii’s Weekend Gas Watch.
Gas prices in Hawaii rose by an average of 3 cents statewide this week to $4.24 for a gallon of regular unleaded. That is 17 cents higher than it was a month ago, and makes Hawaii still the most expensive place in the nation for gas, AAA Hawaii said.
