Tropical Storm Ida's impact fades quickly

Tropical Storm Ida’s impact on Gulf of Mexico oil and gas production appears to be short-lived.
The first update this morning comes from Anadarko, which says all its operated facilities “are intact, and we continue to return personnel to our platforms that were evacuated prior to Hurricane Ida. We have resumed production at Independence Hub and anticipate restoring and ramping up production at Constitution, Marco Polo and Neptune later today and tomorrow as pipelines allow.”
The oil and gas markets yawned, too. December crude fell 38 cents, or 0.48 percent, to settle at $79.05 a barrel on the NYMEX, trading in the $77.89 to $80.51 range on Tuesday. Natural gas closed 18.8 cents, or 4.03 percent lower, at $4.48 per million British thermal units, but it’s up this morning.
