Baker Hughes cuts 62

Baker Hughes will cut 62 workers at its 15355 Vantage Parkway West office, according to a notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission.
Oil field services firms have seen a steady reduction in jobs throughout the recession, with a wave of job cuts first announced in the spring. Engineering giant Fluor also said earlier this month it was cutting more than 600 jobs in Houston, although judging from reader comments it seems that company has cut quite a few more over the past year.
Of course this could also be part of the restructuring expected with Baker Hughes buying BJ Services.
Here’s a copy of the filing.
