CERAWeek: Many reporters at the "Super Bowl" of energy conferences

CERAWeek attracts more than 150 reporters from around the world, and is called by some “the Super Bowl” of energy conferences. The press room was moved this year to give more room to the hordes. It can be a huge logistical nightmare for the organizers, particularly when dealing with reporters.
There has already been one bit of annoyance for the press — a John S. Herold Inc. breakfast that was going to unveil a new report on mergers and acquisitions that was scheduled as “open” to all comers was closed. Likely just a misunderstanding, but it can be frustrating if you were expecting to find a story there.
We’re not sure what was so secret about the report this morning that the press needed to be kept out, but we’ll let you know when we figure it out.
