HOUSTON — The Offshore Technology Conference — the oil and gas extravaganza that drew record attendance in Houston this week — will expand its agenda next year, organizers announced Thursday.
The event, which ran Monday through Thursday this year, will include a follow-up event in 2015. On Friday, May 8, OTC will host “d5″ intended to be a meeting of the minds to discuss new innovations for meeting the industry’s biggest challenges.
The standard part of next year’s Houston OTC is scheduled for May 4-7.

Paige McCown, a spokeswoman for OTC, said organizers held meetings during the conference this week to begin plotting out the 2015 event. But before the next show in Houston, the organization will host OTC Brasil in October in Rio de Janeiro and the Arctic Technology Conference next March in Copenhagen, Denmark.
OTC Asia drew a record crowd of 25,000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in March of this year, with the next gathering scheduled there in March 2016.
