Top 20 countries for oil and gas salaries

HOUSTON — The global average salary for oil and gas workers fell slightly in 2013 after two years of rapid growth, according to a report from recruiting firm Hays. Workers earned an average $81,184 last year, down about 1 percent from 2012. The firm noted that Australia and several other countries had experienced unsustainable jumps in salaries for oil and gas workers in recent years, a trend that demanded correction.
