Fourteen lawyers along with an unspecified number of support staff are leaving Norton Rose Fulbright to join rival law firm Baker Botts in the Middle East.
The move, which was arranged over the past few months, will boost the energy practice for Baker Botts in the region that’s increasingly important to its energy clients, according to Baker Botts. The lawyers will work from offices in Dubai, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.
The lawyers who are switching firms include John Lonsberg, who has been the partner in charge of Fulbright’s office in the Middle East.
Other lawyers include Mark Bisch, Jonathan Sutcliffe, Joseph Colagiovanni, Hassan Elsayed, Richard Devine, Philip Punwar and Sam Eversman.
After the move, Baker Botts will have 40 lawyers in its Middle East offices.
