TransCanada Corp. has run out of room at its current digs at 717 Texas and is moving a couple of blocks away, where it’s found more space.
The pipeline owner has signed a lease for six floors in the Bank of America Center at 700 Louisiana. The move will begin this year, but won’t be complete until mid-2015.
TransCanada employs more than 550 people in Houston. Its downtown office includes a control room where eight of the company’s U.S. natural gas pipelines are monitored and controlled. It’s Houston offices have been sites of recent protests involving the Keystone XL pipeline.
