Offshore Technology Conference names new executive director

After a decade as managing director, Stephen Graham has been named executive director of the Offshore Technology Conference.

In his new role, Graham will lead the management of all OTC events in Houston, Brazil and Asia. He replaces Mark Rubin, who returned fulltime to his duties as executive director of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

This year’s Houston conference, a mammoth event showcasing technologies for all facets of offshore oil and gas production, will be May 6-9 at Reliant Park.

“OTC’s scope and reach have burgeoned under Stephen’s leadership,” board chairman Steve Balint said. “This new role acknowledges his dedication and accomplishments.”

OTC launched in Houston in 1969; the conference spread to South America in 2011 and will repeat with OTC Brasil in Rio de Janeiro in October. OTC Asia will premiere in Malaysia in March.
