Houston-based Noble Energy is selling oil and gas properties in Kansas to an affiliate of Citation Oil & Gas for about $140 million, Noble announced Monday.
The 250 wells in the transaction produce about 1,000 barrels per day of oil equivalent, mostly crude oil, Noble said. Net proved reserves are about 7 million barrels of oil equivalent.
Noble expects the transaction to close next month. Citation is a privately held Houston oil and gas company.
