Houston will play host to a half-day of panel discussions on energy, technology and job creation on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at the Hilton Americas in downtown.
Americas Energy Future: Emerging Technologies & Job Creation will feature speakers talking about current and future energy technologies and the role they could play in job growth. There will also be a discussion of the impact of the offshore drilling moratorium.
Organized the by Greater Houston Partnership, the event sponsors include GE, Shell Oil, Chevron, Marathon Oil and others.
Breakfast and networking starts at 7:30 a.m. Opening remarks by former Shell Oil CEO John Hofmeister (now known as founder of Citizens for Affordable Energy) start at 8:30 a.m.
The event will be immediately followed by Gov. Rick Perry’s State of the State address at the Hilton Americas.
