Texas gasoline prices reach record highs: Associated Press — Retail gasoline prices reached record heights in Texas this week, according to the weekly AAA Texas gasoline price survey released today.
Chevron to test new heavy oil refining plant in Miss.: Bloomberg News — Chevron, the second-largest U.S. oil company, plans to build a plant at its refinery in Pascagoula, Mississippi, to test the viability of new technology for upgrading heavy crude.
Digest: Judge holds off on PDVSA ruling: Exxon Mobil Corp. must wait one more week to see whether a British judge will uphold a freeze it sought on as much as $12 billion of assets belonging to Petroleos de Venezuela.
Gas pipeline being planned for northern China: Bloomberg News — China National Petroleum Corp., the country’s largest oil company, is studying a plan to build a gas pipeline in northern China, a company official said.
StatoilHydro makes Barents Sea discovery: Bloomberg News — StatoilHydro, Norway’s biggest petroleum producer, found oil and gas as it completed drilling at well 7222/6-1 S in the Barents Sea, the company’s fourth discovery on the Norwegian continental shelf in 2008.
