CERAWeek: What's the human genome have to do with energy?

Craig Venter, chairman of the J. Craig Venter Institute and a pioneer in genomics, is here to talk about work he’s doing essentially growing organisms for biofuels.
The human genome mapping process essentially digitized biology, Venter said. It pretty much lets biologists build the kinds of cells they want.
Venter has been at CERAWeek in the past, but his talk in this forum feels a bit like buying tickets to a Hannah Montana concert and finding a string quartet on stage instead.
